My standard per appointment fee is $85. Sessions run for 55 minutes, with the final five minutes of the hour generally given over to appointment admin. I currently accept payment in cash or online bank deposit.

If you need help paying for counselling and are receiving a benefit, or have an ongoing health condition or disability, you may be eligible for a Disability Allowance. If you think this might apply, check out the WINZ website, or refer to the final item on the FAQ page.

If you are unable to attend an arranged appointment, please let me know. For cancellations with less than 24 hours notice I ask that you pay in full.

My Approach to Counselling

I endeavour to approach counselling from a foundation of care, respect, and genuine interest - valuing you as a unique and innately worthwhile person - knowing that you have the capacity for change and growth. I listen carefully, non-judgmentally - endeavouring to understand your lived experience.

I practice collaboratively, working with you in ways which work for you to address areas of your life which are a priority for you. I acknowledge that different things work for different people, and so draw upon a growing base of ideas from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Person-Centred Practice, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and CBT.
